DISPATCH #000 The Foundation

*The Difference Between Anonymous Truth and Fiction*

*By Bassey Emmanuel

*Dispatches Location: The Digital Embassy | Date: May 2026*

*THE REJECTION*

Someone asked: “Can we write about what is actually happening in Nigeria, but we change the names and say ‘an old woman’ instead of ‘my mother’?”
The answer is no. Because “what is actually happening” is not the same as “what actually happened.”
One is the truth, the other is rumour.

*THE WAR*
Fiction is easy. You can write 10 stories in one afternoon. You can invent a problem, invent a solution, and invent a lesson. It looks real. It sounds real. But it has no weight.
Truth is hard. You have to remember the exact date. The exact amount. The exact words the officer said or the bag was snatched. You have to carry the shame, the anger, the loss.
Truth is the only thing that can protect the next person.

*THE TURNING POINT*
*Anonymous truth*

This means the event happened. The consequence was real. The lesson was learned. Only the names, faces, and exact locations are hidden to protect people.

*Fiction* This means The event never happened. You imagined it to make a point. Even if the point is good, the foundation is sand.

At embassytales.com, we do not publish fiction and call it Dispatch. Not even “helpful” fiction. Our fiction stories are clearly stated as a scroll for our readers to see the distinction.

*THE VICTORY*
When you publish anonymous truth, you do three things:
1.  *You protect yourself* no defamation, no legal risk.
2.  *You protect others*  The next person knows this is real and can act on it.
3.  *You protect embassytales.com* The archive remains trustworthy for 10 years, not 10 days.

*THE LESSON LEARNT*
*If you didn’t witness it, you can’t archive it.
*If you can’t stand behind it and say “I was there,” then it doesn’t belong on embassytales.com.*  as a dispatch.

*THE ARCHIVE*
This dispatch is for every contributor who will come after us. The rule is simple:
*Bring what you saw. We will shape how you say it.
*Bring what you heard. We will not publish it as a dispatch but we will turn it into a beautiful scroll for readers that love fiction.

*BOTTOM LINE*
*Anonymous truth → Trust → Impact → Legacy.

*Fiction → Doubt → Collapse → Nothing.
embassytales.com is built on anonymous truh. Fiction lives here too, but only as scrolls clearly marked.
